A new season begins

Here we are back in the water for the start of another season! Although, as I write this, Lyme Regis harbour is covered in a thick layer of snow again as the photo shows  - hopefully tempoarily and so unusual for March. Both boats are looking highly painted and ready to go, the skull and cross bones go up next week. This is very early for launching but the harbourmaster wanted the boats off the slipway in time for Easter. This is so he can erect the dingy racks in the space where my boats were.

This is always a good time of year for me. I enjoy whatever month we are in but the start of a new fishing season means both the chance to earn some  money again plus an end to all the work we've been doing on the boats since last November. We’ve had an extremely bad winter for rain and gales, not to mention the snow, so I’m hoping we're going to see the end of all this bad weather so we can settle down to some solid, decent work for Easter.

Harry May Boat Trips will be operating everyday, weather permitting, from Lyme Regis Harbour from Easter till November. If you fancy going out on a Lyme Regis mackerel fishing or Lyme Regis deep sea fishing trip then please give me a ring on 07974 753287.
